Designers Chen Wei and Lu Yanxin,have designed a kinetic energy based street light. The Giraffe Street Lamp,has a swing incorporated and it harnesses kinetic energy on each oscillation of the swing. The lamp also has a solar panel which act as a backup. One is not sure how much swing effort is required for sustained lighting. This attractive design is an amalgam of play and eco sense.
